Cluny - Aberdeenshire

Range finder 14C samples produced prehistoric dates which unfortunately means this sediment core cannot be used in our current project since the time period is too old. However, Mesolithic Deeside have shown an interest in the sediment sequence and potentially we might have some PhD students keen to analyse the sediment sequence instead.

 

The peat location was identified by Robin Worsman (Mesolithic Deeside) and permission to core was granted by Cosmo from Cluny estate.
